Why do people use trampolines without enclosures instead of buying a trampoline with enclosure safety?
Why do people use trampolines without enclosures? Go to the trampoline park and you will find plenty of places without a protective net. The area with the net is there to prevent the ball or other toys from leaving the area. They did not use nets to keep the guests in the trampolining area but instead used soft cushions to cover the edges of the floor to soften the landing.
If the trampoline play area is properly designed, there is no need to install a “safety net”. As stated in other answers, you must supervise the child on a trampoline and make sure they understand how to use the trampoline correctly and the risks involved. Before the bounce, the correct usage of the trampoline should be shown to all participants first. Sometimes the enclosure is only for the children who are under 5 or 6 years old. Kids young don’t have the mentality to stay on the trampoline, therefore, making it safer.
For elder people, they would have no intention to jump on the edge pad part to hurt themselves. While the pad must have a very different color from the jumping mat so that the jumper will not jump on the previous edge.
In some injury cases, you may see the net are tearing when the teenager or adults jump in the wrong part. It may not so safe with the enclosure net.
Moreover, the trampoline with enclosure will be assembly more difficult than the trampoline without an enclosure.
